Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, implement and maintain new PHP web applications, adhering to coding standards
2. Maintain and enhance existing services and internal applications

Required Skills/Experience:

• Strong ability in PHP and MySQL development
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (experience accepted in lieu of degree)
• Ability to hand-code HTML/CSS
• Experience with JavaScript/DHTML (Prototype/Scriptaculous a plus)
• Understanding of object oriented design
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written

Preferred Skills:

• Linux shell environment
• Version control systems (Subversion, CVS, etc.)
• Other languages such as Perl and Ruby a plus
• AJAX
• Cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility testing
• MVC application frameworks
• Database schema design and optimization

3. Plan websites/develop specs
4. Set up web hosting for new sites
5. Set up email for customers and troubleshoot when needed
6. Help manage dedicated servers
7. Manage domain and DNS services
8. Develop and modify ASP/ASP.NET Applications
9. Develop Macromedia Flash sites, animations, and applications
10. Image editing
11. Job may include more programming, design, technical/server admin, 3D, or video work
